![]() ![]() Vela was briefly in shock after such an intense fight but then Lupus appears and she continues the mission, helping him board the Spawnship safely by shooting down the drones guarding the cargo compartments. After destroying Lurg, The lift returns to the entrance to the Spawnship's docking bay and the side doors close automatically. First antlers, then torso, followed by arms until all that remains is a floating head. Like Fet-Bubb and the Mechantis Twins, heavy and explosive fire-power is required to dismember its body. It could also fire flares from its antlers and shoot rapid pistol fire from its arms.ĭespite being cornered, Vela managed to shoot Lurg down. Lurg's main attack was dropping explosive maggots directly down on Vela which she would dodge by side stepping to the edge of the lift. From the opposite side, Lurg emerged, saluted by the lift operator Drones as it passed.Īs it closed in on Vela, she turned to see it bearing down on her. Laughing to themselves, they promptly opened the side doors and sent her on a detour down the moat passage, leaving her trapped on the lift. Unfortunately the lift operators were two of Mizar's soldiers. She had no choice but to cross the moat on a metal lift to reach the ship. When Vela reached the entrance to the Spawnship's docking bay, she found it was protected by a moat of lava. Likely another creation of Mizar's, Lurg resembled a giant sluggish insect with brown antlers, cyborg arms bearing pistols and was capable of gliding through lava. Jet Force Gemini left a mark on my childhood that will not be forgotten until the end.Lurg is the second boss of the game, encountered by Vela within the depths of Ichor Military Base. Many people identify Zelda with a "Zelda feeling" or Banjo-Kazooie woth a "Banjo feeling well, JFG has it's own feeling, too. ![]() This game deserved a remake way more than Conker, and it deserves a sequel more than any other game. The minigames were awesome, racing rocked my world. Shoot through the glass to get it and the green key. In one of the later rooms, there's a glass floor with an upgrade cartridge. The machine gun door leads to the red key, and plasma shotgun. ![]() I used to request that fast techno beat, wait for it to peak, then slaughter every last drone like the opening scene of Blade. Sekhmet: When you enter the second area, the first door on the left leads to the machine gun and a gemini holder. The Drone Night Club on Ichor was awesome. Like most who love this game, I never beat it because of the only flaw it had: STUPID STUPID SPACE SHIP PART COLLECTION. If you take the time, you'll notice that the mood of the game changes quite often. The gun fights are loud and frantic, and hardly ever is there a moment to rest. I started replaying it last night, because I finally got it back from a friend (what are the odds?). The music was great enough to rival Zelda, and the gameplay was nothing to sneer at. Explore the jet force gemini collection - the favourite images chosen by jafox193 on DeviantArt. ![]() This game is certainly the most underrated game of all time. After all the storylines of Juno, Vela, and their very helpful pet, Lupus were never explained. This thread is almost pointless but I made it up because of nostalgia and the desire to see a continuation of the Jet Force Gemini crew. Jet Force Gemini got a "T" rating for all the alien blood and body parts that could be splattered with the awesome violence you could do but with advance graphics a remake could land it with an "M" rating. I mean with the graphics these days, I would like to have Juno, Vela, and Lupus returning to continue the awesome slaughter of giant ants and many sorts of bugs. As you play through with him, you will find Vela who will then rescue Lupus. I sort of gained hope after Perfect Dark Zero was brought to life under Microsoft. I declare this one of the best games I have played on the N64 along with Perfect Dark, Banjo-Tooie, Zelda OOT and Zelda MM.Ī great game, I think any plans for a sequel or remake died when Rare was brought by Microsoft. I'm not sure how many of you guys remember the old but great game, Jet Force Gemini. ![]()
